The Choice in Coaching – Arbinger Mastery Training for Coaches

The Choice in Coaching: Arbinger Mastery Training for Coaches (CIC) is Arbinger‘s flagship course for helping professionals who want to work with Arbinger‘s methods and materials. It is the first step for joining Arbinger’s Global Coaching Team.

The course is designed for:

• Personal and business coaches – with an emphasis on life coaching,
• Is also open to counselors, therapists, and other helping professionals.

Principles and Pyramids

Participants in the CIC learn three governing principles for coaching and the Arbinger Personal Growth Pyramid, a structure to help things go right in one-to-one conversations around the material.

The first two-thirds of the program are devoted to revisiting the core material (self-betrayal, carry boxes, collusion, and getting out) in detail and depth, gaining teaching and coaching competency and learning to use new tools to coach the basics.

The final third covers how to help clients see all matters of personal growth through the Arbinger lens. Coaches completing the course will feel comfortable and competent helping clients discover and get out of their boxes as well as improve any aspect of their lives by reducing resistance and developing their ability to respond effectively to life‘s demands.

Licensing

Upon successful completion of the course, participants are licensed to use Arbinger materials (including proprietary materials used only in the CIC) in their one-to-one coaching with clients.

Arbinger Coaches Network

CIC graduates become members of the Arbinger Coaches Network (ACN). The ACN is a group of coaches who are dedicated to being an out-of-the-box place in their one-to-one helping work. Through the ACN, you can find and share resources, get help to discover and stay out of your boxes, and build alliances with other professionals. Membership in the ACN is reserved for graduates of Arbinger’s Choice in Coaching program.

Coaching in Organizations – The Choice in Coaching Leaders

Some graduates of the Choice in Coaching are invited at Arbinger’s discretion to join The Choice in Coaching Leaders (the CICL), advanced coaching training that covers Arbinger’s proprietary approach to:

• organizational conflict
• leadership and team-building
• accountability transformation

Successful completion of The Choice in Coaching Leaders offers you a license to use materials that target executive leadership and organizational coaching issues.

Training for Treatment Programs

Arbinger has been working with behavioral and addiction treatment programs for almost 20 years, with remarkable results.

How we help

Through training and support we equip treatment program personnel to work with clients and patients in ways that minimize resistance and maximize desired results.

In addition, we train and license program personnel to be able to deliver Arbinger programs both to their clients and patients and also to the family members of those in their care. This is crucial to the success of any intervention, as the changes that have occurred over the course of treatment need to be reinforced by changes in the home and family environment upon the person’s return.

Impact on results

Many of our client treatment programs feel that the family training that Arbinger enables them to do is what sets their program and its results apart from others. Family members report that their own powerful personal and family transformations as a result of this training.

One of Arbinger’s international bestsellers, The Anatomy of Peace, is the story of a group of parents who go through this very kind of training after admitting their children into a training program. The story that unfolds in the book is representative of the kind of experience and impact that our clients treatment programs have with the family members they take through the Arbinger experience.
