What: Arbinger's Parenting Program is a dynamic training and coaching course based
on Arbinger's core principles for spreading peace. It includes both group and individual coaching
and is not therapy.
When: The first and last
classes will be 1 1/2 hour each. All other classes will be one hour long.
We ask that participants be
present for at least 9 out of the 10 classes. If it is necessary to miss one class, a recording of
the call will be made available.
Where: This is a course by phone. Participants will dial in to a long distance conference
bridge line at their own cost. We ask that participants use a land line to minimize call interference.
Those wishing to register will please also make arrangements to be uninterrupted during the calls. For
some people, this may mean making childcare arrangements.

Amber Long
Amber Long was first introduced to the Arbinger philosophy while working at
ANASAZI Foundation, a wilderness treatment program for at-risk teens and their families. Out on the trail, she witnessed hundreds of teens have a change of heart and grow in their ability to choose well. As a coach for the parents, Amber saw firsthand how Arbinger principles transform families.
The amazing changes she has experienced in her own family, particularly in her roles as wife and mother, continue to be shaped by Arbinger's principles of peace.
Amber has been facilitating Arbinger courses since 2002. Since then she has taught over 125 seminars to families in need. In addition to her work as a facilitator for Arbinger, Amber also co-directs many of Arbinger's telecourse offerings and mentors newly trained Arbinger facilitators and coaches.
Nancy Smyth, MCC
Nancy Smyth is a certified life coach. Desiring to offer the best as a professional, she was delighted to read Leadership and Self-Deception in 2001. As she experienced greater understanding about herself in relationship, she was drawn into studying Arbinger's philosophy in-depth. Arbinger's principles were helping make transformations she and her clients yearned for.
Since 2003, Nancy's international contributions to the Arbinger community include program design, as well as facilitation and coaching initiatives for communities and organizations.
Being a mother, foster parent and adoptive parent, Nancy treasures the enrichment Arbinger brings to family relationships. As a master coach, leadership graduate, public speaker and writer she values sharing Arbinger's principles of peace with those she serves.
