Leadership and Self-Deception in Teaching and Education
Course Details
Participants learn and begin to practice the application of Arbinger principles to their teaching role. They see the many ways both teachers and students can be resistant. They see how this in-the-box behavior undermines any effort to collaborate in teaching and learning. And they see solutions.

The training covers topics including:

The Principles of Responsive Teaching. These turn traditional models upside down, and can transform every teaching and learning experience:
  • I Am Not the Teacher
  • My Obligation is to Learn
  • I See Greatness
  • I Build Community
A guiding structure for Responsive Teaching
  • Helping things go right
  • What to do when things go wrong
As a result of this training, teachers and administrators learn new ways to see themselves, their roles and their students. With these new ways of seeing come new ways of doing. These help teaching and learning become the enriching, fulfilling experiences they are meant to be.

Until recently, this course was only offered within client organizations. Arbinger is now offering it to the general public. It is an ideal course as well for representatives from organizations who are considering Arbinger training for their organizations.
