A consulting firm devoted to helping people in all aspects of their lives
Arbinger is a worldwide institute that helps organizations, families, individuals, and communities solve the problems created by self-deception.

Our approach is the result of decades of exploration into the problem of self-deception by an international team of scholars. In the early 1990s, the Institute was formed to introduce their discoveries to individuals and organizations worldwide.

Our first book, Leadership and Self-Deception, published in 2000, quickly became an international bestseller. Launched with no fanfare when Arbinger and its work were little known, the book generated extraordinary word-of-mouth momentum. Sales are growing even today. The book is currently available in nearly twenty languages.

Since Leadership and Self-Deception was published, many readers have clamored for a book that explores our work more deeply -- and that applies it to issues outside the workplace as well as within.

The Anatomy of Peace was written for this purpose, and out of the desire to help resolve conflicts - large and small - that burden families, workplaces and communities.

About Us
Arbinger is a diverse group, trained in business, law, economics, philosophy, the family, education, coaching, and psychology. We come from diverse cultural, religious and non-religious backgrounds.

We share a deep understanding and passion for Arbinger's compelling model of human understanding. It offers people a common language for openly and clearly discussing - and settling - their differences. And it works across cultures, races, classes, religions and beliefs.

The members of Arbinger are mobilized in four directions, to help:
1. Organizations
2. Communities
3. Individuals and families
4. Those in the helping professions

To support these groups, we offer public courses, consulting and coaching services, and tailored organizational interventions (including train-the-trainer options). These range from one day to several days in length, with options to add on more advanced or more personalized training in addition to core training (Courses & Calendars).

Our clients range from individuals seeking help in their lives to many of the largest companies and governmental institutions in the world. You're invited to read some of the positive responses they've offered about their experiences with Arbinger.

Headquartered in the United States, Arbinger has international operations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Israel, India, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Mexico, Canada and Bermuda. The Institute is led internationally by Jim Ferrell, Duane Boyce, Paul Smith, and Terry Warner. Local managing directors guide Arbinger's work in territories around the world.

"Arbinger" is the ancient French spelling of the word "harbinger." It means "one that indicates or foreshadows what is to come; a forerunner." Arbinger is a forerunner, a "harbinger," of change.
